PUPPY LOVE!

7 May

Since my baby dog Bunker was hit by a car the other day, but miraculously survived with just a few bruises and scratches, I am in a very dog sensitive mood, so I wanted to share with you some “food facts” about foods that are VERY toxic to our four legged kids.

Dog poison comes in many forms. While most of us are aware that such substances as antifreeze and rat poison are dangerous to dogs, there are some common kitchen foods that can poison dogs as well.

Onions and Garlic
Grapes and Raisins
Chocolate and Anything containing caffeine
Sweeteners, Cakes and frostings
Citrus fruits, like oranges, lemons, and grapefruits
Potatoes and walnuts, macadamia nuts
Rhubarb and tomatoes
Baby Foods,  some contain onion
Yeast Doughs
Human vitamin supplements, especially with Iron
